This institute is applying the voting systems described by the French Academician, de Borda, around the time of the French revolution, to decision making, in the form of the preferendum. He has, at times, managed to find consensus solutions acceptable to both DUP and Sinn Fein supporters. Given the ability of computers to do advanced calculations, we are no longer limited to yes/no questions, but can rank many options (e.g. how many lilies? What varieties?
